BERNARD PLOSSU (b. 1945). In-8e illustrated with 6 photograp - Lot 32
BERNARD PLOSSU (b. 1945). In-8e illustrated with 6 photographs by Plossu, Daniel Zolinsky and Douglas Keats. Poèmes du Jardin de poussière / Poems from the Garden of dust. Collection of poems, n°2-3 of the "Contre toute attente" notebook series. Editions Gramma, Fontaine-les-Dijon, 1995. Edition numbered XXIV/XXX and signed by the artist, with an original photograph on dry-stamped silver paper, signed and titled "White sand, New Mexico". 23 pages. Bernard Plossu, born in Đà Lạt in South Vietnam in 1945, grew up surrounded by the desert photographs taken by his father when he went skiing on the dunes of the Sahara in 1937 with Roger Frison-Roche. Pudeur, sensuality, emotion, gaiety - these are the "sap" that already irrigated the images of this self-taught photographer, who landed in Mexico in 1965 and 1967 to join his grandparents. A Voyage mexicain was published 15 years later by his publisher Claude Nori. A book which, according to the creator of Éd. Contrejour, became a kind of "bible for an entire generation", suddenly uninhibited by its freedom of tone and intimate, poetic vision.
