Set of 11 masks: ASTÉRIX ET OBÉLIX - Lot 21
Set of 11 masks: ASTÉRIX ET OBÉLIX
Set of 11 hand-painted plastic masks made by Maison César in 1968, 1971, 1978 and 1987.
For Obélix, it wasn't until 1987 that a new version was offered for sale.
For Asterix, it wasn't until 1987 that a new version of the Gaulish hero was offered for sale.
For Dogmatix, curiously, it was almost 10 years before the Dogmatix mask was included in the Caesar catalog.
Some masks still have their original labels.
