BODET. - Lot 9
BODET. Double-sided electric wall clock in steel with gallows, white frame with Roman numerals, signed. Provenance: Orly airport. 61 x 27 cm. In 1868, carpenter and mechanical enthusiast Paul Bodet installed the first clock in the church tower of Trémentines (Maine-et-Loire), marking the birth of the Bodet company. Passed down from generation to generation, the company diversified into the manufacture of clocks and steeples, before moving into industrial watchmaking and sports timing with electronics and quartz. In 1950, Bodet Time is created, specializing in clocks, time servers, audio and display systems. The company established itself as a key player in the equipping of public spaces (stations, airports, stadiums, churches) in France and abroad, thanks to emblematic products such as the 1970s pallet clock or the 1960s BT480.
