Silver medal commemorating the Saturn V rocket of Apollo 4, mission AS 501: November 9, 1967, marked the very first flight of the Saturn V rocket, designed for lunar missions, during which the functionality of its three stages and reentry into the atmosphere were validated (unmanned test flight). One side of the medal bears the inscription: “The largest weight ever launched from Earth,” and the other side reads: “Vehicle Assembly Building, the world’s largest building, 129,482,000 cu. feet.” 4 cm.
